Im Watering My Lawn...
I'm watering my lawn... Contrary to the title of this post, I'm not really a gardener and I don't have a green thumb or any green appendages. I do admire those that can keep a perfect lawn and it's on my bucket list of things to do...learn to garden. For now I'm choosing to water my lawn. I have a natural tendency to longingly gaze at "the other side," their house is nicer, her clothes are stylish, his car is brand new, their kids are ____(fill in the blank with smarter, kinder, well behaved, etc). I find myself making these comparisons while leaving my own lawn to "dry out." I've decided instead to pick up the hose, turn up the sprinkler, shake a little fertilizer and wait. Their (the Jones') lawns didn't become green over night and nor will mine. It takes weeks, months, and even years to get that perfect yard.
